My wife and I went to Montana’s for supper on a Friday night. We got there around 5:30 and there was lots of free tables. We were seated very quickly and as soon as we were ready the server was there to take our orders. While waiting we noticed that it was very cold inside. Considering that its August I did not have a jacket with me but if I did I would have put it on. I was just thinking we should have gotten an appetizer to help pass the time waiting for the meals and then boom, there was the food. Took about 10 minutes to get our food. There was a reason for that! So, I ordered the pork rib tips with Apple butter barbecue. Coming from Moncton where these ribs are my favourite I expected no less from this Montana’s. Well, I could not be more wrong. The first rib I picked up was tough, dried out, stuck to the bone, over cooked, slightly charred, and lacking barbecue sauce. Lets dig deeper in to the pile…ahhh, there we go… oh no wait… more GARBAGE! Now, rule number one, if you are going to server a catastrophe like these ribs you had better take a bucket of barbecue sauce and dunk each rack in there in hopes that the sauce masks everything else that is wrong with the ribs. To be blunt. THESE ARE THE WORST RIBS I HAVE EVER EATEN.Well, when we were done the waitress was right there clean up and check us out so that we could be on our way. I could not be happier to be leaving. It will be a long time before I go back to Montana’s and it will not be for the ribs. Seriously, they were so bad the chef owes me an apology!
