The food and cost of a pint of beer
|
|
We stopped at O'Shea's for a pint and a bite of lunch recently. We ordered fish and chips. The food arrived shortly after the beer was served. The fish batter was dark mahogany in color and the fish inside was opaque and jelly-like. We told the serving person we did not want to eat this food at which point she took it away and offered to remove the fish and chips from our lunch bill. We stayed to finish our pints of beer and were met with very hostile looks from the kitchen staff. We asked for our bill and were charged $15.00 for two pints. Yikes! We'd be surprised if this restaraunt is operational much longer as there are several other pubs with good food and much less expensive beer in the vicinity. We certainly won't go back and would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
